/Art Galleries/Eoin O'Connor![]() Eoin O’Connor was born in Dublin in 1969. He went to school in Cork and studied architecture in Bolton Street in Dublin. Following a career in architecture, Eoin felt his passions lay more in the art world.
Between 1997-2003 Eoin started a business selling prints of his paintings to shops such as The Kilkenny store and Blarney Woollen Mills. The business was very successful but it affected his art work so he sold the business. In 2003 he developed a unique sculptural style of art which sold very well and was purchased by leading business men in Ireland. He then opened his own gallery and continued with his sculptural art. In 2005 Eoin sculpted a large private commission 8ft x 4ft piece and decided then to paint full time at his now hugely successful gallery. In his paintings Eoin concentrates on colour, texture and strange angles of view. All these combined with a clever use of light and shade creates bold strong paintings. Eoin has exhibited in the Marine House Beere in Devon, England, Waterford Tall Ships Exhibition, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Wexford Arts Festival, Marziart, Hamburg, Germany, Art Ireland and Gallery Number Nine in Birmingham. His work is in private collections in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, Auckland and the U.K. |
