Jean Bardon was born in Dublin in  1952. She attended Dun Laoghaire School of Art from 1970 – 1974. She currently lives in Dublin.

Jean’s introduction to printmaking came when she was living and working in Amsterdam and attended an etching course which took place on one of Amsterdam’s houseboats.

She returned to printmaking at the Graphic Studio Dublin in 1990, becoming a studio member in 1992.  She has been involved in many exhibitions at the Graphiic Studio, most recently being a member of the committee which initiated and organised “Gardens of Earthly Delight” which took place in the Chester Beatty Library in 2005.  She was elected to membership of the Watercolour Society of Ireland in 2006.
