Teyssier 2018, St Emilion Grand Cru – Case of 12 x 75cl En Primeur

Teyssier is from the JCP Maltus portfolio of skillfully crafted Saint-Émilion wines. Neil White is the head winemaker and Thomas Duclos is a consultant here. The 2018 Teyssier is composed of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, picked September 20 to October 12, with a 3.53 pH and 14.8% alcohol. Deep purple-black colored, it leaps from the glass with bold, vibrant scents of crushed black and red cherries, mulberries and black raspberries with touches of fallen leaves, roses and blackcurrants. Medium to full-bodied, the palate exudes energetic freshness, with soft, plush tannins blanketing the juicy fruit, finishing with a skip in its step.
